Vredendal

We are just chilling in this town of 20 000, the largest in the region, apparently their is no land to be had anywhere on this coast so that was devastating news, but we will think about it later, for now Pepi contracted biilary and had to spend the night at the vet on a drip. I did go and see her this morning and she is better, ate a bit and then chewed the pipe off her drip, so the vet has let her come home for now with a return visit in the morning, so hopefully we caught it in time and she will start eating properly again and pick up all the weight she lost, 25% of her body weight I could count all her ribs and her hip bones were very Twiggy like.
Skinny Pepi with her appetite back

the only ones in the campsite, we choose a new spot every day

small but in the centre of town and neat and clean with lots of hot water

For now we are sitting in the municipal campsite in town, all alone and we have booked in until Tuesday just to make sure Peps is fine and it will give me time to come up with a new plan on where to go, what to do and how to get my farm.

Peps is eating well although I do have to shove her tablet down her throat because she keeps spitting it out, she needs one every day for 3 weeks. After the Proteas tight game yesterday finally putting us through to a semi final I think I need to stay in town until Thursday so I can watch their game on Wednesday, no idea if I will find a tv anywhere down on the coast where we go next.

We have had a bit of rain yesterday and today I was wondering where it was we have had a very dry few weeks and I still don't get how people call this winter, they will never survive in Joburg if they're wearing eskimo clothes in this mild climate.
