17th July 2013

I decided that getting out of bed at 7am is not a Joburg thing, just a Bubbles thing, I'm a morning person and hate lying in bed and missing the sunrise, so no more guilt about early mornings, that's going to keep happening until you guys set me off on my raft in a burning pyre.

cannot be comfortable...

Thought I would send out some good thoughts today and give Madiba an early birthday wish for a very happy 95th birthday, hope he goes from strength to strength as this country and the world at large is a better place with him in it. I also hope you guys are all planning on spending 67 minutes doing some good somewhere, it's very satisfying to help someone in need, especially if the help takes the form of teaching a sustainable skill.
bone delight

Beautiful day today, chilly morning but warmed up and treated us well thereafter. I did a spring clean of my room, with four dogs in and out it started looking like the local whore house.

I spent the day in hard labour, back filling and building, mine hosts are getting their monies worth from this wwoofer, I'm even making tonight's dinner, plus I washed a load of laundry which came out pink, must be the sheet I'm on my bed, I'm sure this must be a sue-able offence, will have to query that with my lawyer, damage to personal affects I think, although it does give me an excuse to wear my pink undies without shame.
future grape vines

Katrina hard at work as always

Katrina and Lizelle planted the trees, lovely looking trees, hopefully the chickens will leave them alone long enough to grow and fruit in abundance.

I asked Lorraine to help me out with identifying the spoor tracks I found the other day, I think they belong to a running baboon but can't be sure, she sent me an sms that read 'Sitting in exclusive books looking for your spoor, nun the wiser, distracted by host of other books...." my reply,,,,,'No bloody good to me at all...', really, friends today, was a time one could rely on ones friends, and her FGASA qualified as well, no wonder Ruth fell asleep during Lorraine's assessment on our ANT course, the truth is out....
good chicken protection for the new trees

Felt a bit fragile today, must take it easy for a little while and let the muscles have time to toughen up a bit more, (this sentence is for my hosts.)

Off to slave over a hot stove, let me know what your 67 minutes constituted guys, I'd like mine to be planting a veggie garden in a community in need somewhere, may not happen for awhile.
