Thursday 11th July

Another beautiful day in the Klein Karoo, no rain in sight and perfect weather, unless your name is Kevin, then you freeze morning and night.
Lizelle cleaning up

my finished masterpiece

plastering my first wall

We started the plastering on the septic tank, my first try at plastering was on my moms cottage and involved throwing the cement on the walls a' la the way the builders did it, not greatly successful but lots of fun, I guess the builders came after me and fixed up what I messed up, this time was a little different as the space was small so no throwing and tossing of plaster happened but did manage to do a small wall successfully, well if it is not successful I won't know about it unless the plaster falls off the wall in the next few days. Kevin's bit looked okay as well, hope he doesn't read this I might be fired and on my bike.
the cottage we are busy with, with the farm buildings in the background

the empty dam waiting for the first downpour

Our first day without Sean, it really changes the dynamics of the farm without his presence, amazing what a bright 11 year old can bring to the party.
not sure about farm life just yet.

I have some pains in muscles I didn't know I had but the body is working it's way into a new way of life and by the end of the year I will be entering the Miss Universe contest, I will be what the pundits call wiry with corded muscle tones, or some such nonsense.

Will sleep well after a lovely veggie curry dinner.
