Monday 8th July at The Place

Up early to take the dogs for a walk and hopefully get rid of some of their energy so they may not want to squabble with Blacky and Spotty, didn't really work but the fights are harmless and without any violence, just aggressive dominance so we do believe they will all settle down eventually.

We sieved soil and laid out some planting patches and then put in one layer of bricks in the septic tank going in to the new cottage which will be a double en suite and lounge. It will be built much like the little guest cottage they have that they let out at the moment, (pictures on their website  www.the-place.co.za) it is a stunning little cottage and well finished, furnished and appointed with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, outdoor patio and for R250 a night per person what a wonderful place to come for a little R and R. If any of you are thinking of a little solitude time in a wonderful setting, give them your custom, you will love the peace of this place and the fresh food if you want Lizelle to cater for you, I am eating the healthiest diet ever.

So a good physical day, Sean and I took all four dogs up to the top gate about a kilometre away, they loved it, my fat ones barely made it, but the two border collies treated it like a marathon and are treating me like their mom, guess who doesn't appreciate that.

Great to be into work, great to be eating well, great to have like minded people to share ideas with, great to have access to internet, hot shower, bed on the floor in our own room, space as far as the eye can see and wonderful weather. 

The plot next door is going on sale and I would love to buy it, if you know anyone who would love to have someone build them a permaculture farm for future food security and a place to come and hang out when they want to escape the rat race, please ask them to buy it for me and I will build their future food store for them.

Looking forward to dinner and bed with a good book, did not happen, we ended up playing scrabble with rules I have never heard of, needless to say, I came last.
